Understanding the Time Line Service Uniform

12 January, 2015: Grove City PA — Time Line Enterprises (TLE) announced today an identification guide to its khaki service uniform. 

“TLE has a history of honoring our veteran community. We want to also honor our living historians for sharing their learned knowledge. That’s why we’ve developed a uniform for our nonprofit that has its roots in the classic US Army uniform of World War II. It is both historic and not easily confused with the current US Army uniform.” said CPT Jon J. Baker, president of Time Line Enterprises.

The Uniform consists of an all-khaki trouser, shirt, and jacket, contrasted with a black beret, tie, belt, and shoes that complete the ensemble. Uniforms in both short and long sleeve are configured using a mixture of both proprietary TLE insignia, patches and badging, as well as a right side shoulder patch identifying the members chosen reenacting unit. All uniforms are limited only to TLE, and are not affiliated to the Armed Forces of the United States, at no time shall any US Military ribbons we worn on the TLE uniform.





The Service Uniform of the TLE shall consist of the following:

  • Beret, Black, with TLE Flash
  • Tunic/Coat Khaki WWII, with TLE Shoulder Sleeve Insignia (SSI), in addition to TLE Distinctive Unit Insignia (DUI)
  • Tie, Black
  • Shirt, Khaki, Long Sleeve, with TLE SSI
  • Shirt, White, Crew Neck Tee
  • Web Belt, brass face, Black
  • Trouser, Khaki
  • Socks, Black
  • Shoes, Oxford, No Cap, Black


Bravo Uniform shall consist of the following:
  • Beret, Black, with TLE Flash
  • Shirt, White, Crew Neck Tee
  • Shirt, Khaki, Long Sleeve, with TLE SSI in addition to TLE DUI
  • Tie, Black
  • Web Belt, brass face, Black
  • Trouser, Khaki
  • Socks, Black
  • Shoes, Oxford, No Cap, Black

Charlie Uniform shall consist of the following:
  • Beret, Black, with TLE Flash
  • Shirt, White, Crew Neck Tee
  • Shirt, Khaki,Short Sleeve, with TLE SSI in addition to TLE DUI
  • Web Belt, brass face, Black
  • Trouser, Khaki
  • Socks, Black
  • Shoes, Oxford, No Cap, Black

“It’s our hope that when the public sees our members in uniform, they ask that member what the uniform, or decoration, stands for. If that member was recognized for an historic research ribbon, for example, he’ll be able to share that story with the public in a one-on-one fashion, further bringing history to life.” said CPT Jon J. Baker.



Time-Line Enterprises is a family oriented ministry and educational outreach re-enacting living history (501c3) nonprofit corporation, located in Grove City PA, who's mission is to bring Christian ministry to those in the re-enacting community and to provide educational history programs from the 1700's to present. All faiths and ages are welcome. Minors are encouraged to join with a parent or guardian.
