TLE Adopts a general purpose fatigue uniform

17 January, 2015: Grove City PA — Time Line Enterprises (TLE) announced today that it will adopt a standard commercial uniform for members while attending events if that member is not wearing an historic impression for public learning.

“Time-Line has traditionally worn historic uniforms to all events. However we’ve realized that there are times when it’s impossible to have all members present in period attire. That’s why we’ve made it easy for our members to be recognized as serving Time-Line while in attendance.” said CTP Jon J Baker, president of Time-Line Enterprises.

The new standard fatigue uniform is Olive Drab in color, with straight pockets, and is readily available from multiple commercial sources. All fatigues will be outfitted with the full color TLE organization patch on the left shoulder and may be accompanied by TLE authorized either bright or subdued variants of avocational badges and patches. At no time will historic impression items be worn on the TLE fatigue. Authorized headgear consists of one of three pieces; the TLE beret (Fig A), a soft “boonie” sun hat (Fig B), or a patrol/event cap (Fig C). TLE officers will wear Branch of Service collar device dependent on their specific role within the TLE organization, and not in accordance with an impression. Enlisted members shall wear subdued variants of TLE rank.

Unless specified by Command, the dates for sleeves up/down shall be in synchronization with the change to, and from, Daylight Savings Time (DST) in the United States. Sleeves may be rolled up, if in uniform appearance, during the Summer Season following the change to DST . All members will comply with sleeves rolled down following the change from DST. Additionally, during Summer Season, the use of an event t-shirt is permitted if the Commander so orders.
